1. Find Your Local Store

You can call ahead or use our store locator to help find the closest California Check Cashing Stores location to you. With over 70 locations, we’re never too far away.

Restrictions may apply. Tax services only available during tax season. Product availability varies by location. While we are not the tax preparer, we’ll help gather your information to submit to a third-party service who completes the filing.

2. Gather Your Documents

Keep in mind that every case is different. We will work with you to determine which documents you will need if you would like. Please bring with you any documents that you normally use to file your taxes and your government issued identification. Don’t forget your PIN if the IRS has issued one to you!

3. Speak with a Helpful Store Associate

Early direct deposit availability depends on payor type, timing, payment instructions, and bank fraud prevention measures. AS such, early direct deposit availability may vary from pay period to pay period. The name and Social Security number on file with your employer or benefits provider must match your Green Dot account to prevent fraud restrictions on the account.
Opt-in required. Account must be in good standing and chip-enabled debit card activated to opt-in. Initial and ongoing eligible direct deposits are required for overdraft coverage. Additional criteria may apply which can affect your eligibility and your overdraft coverage. Overdrafts are paid at our discretion. Overdraft fees may cause your account to be overdrawn by an amount that is greater than your overdraft coverage. A $15 fee may apply to each eligible purchase transaction that brings your account negative. Balance must be brought to at least $0 within 24 hours of authorization of the first transaction that overdraws your account to avoid a fee.
